Playback Theater Class Highlights:
What is it? Playback theater is the art of spontaneous theatre created through a dynamic collaboration between performers and the audience.
Language: The class will be conducted in English.
What to Expect:
- Learn & Improvise: Hone your acting skills, learn the art of improvisation, and discover new ways of thinking outside the box.
- Creativity & Imagination: Explore the realms of creativity, imagination, and humor in a supportive environment.
- Storytelling: Reenact stories from both present and past, bringing narratives to life in a unique and engaging manner.
- Playful Connections: Meet yourself and others in refreshing and playful ways, fostering a strong sense of community.
About the class instructor:
Noa Roth holds an MFA in film directing and a BA in Educational Theater from Tel Aviv University. Her debut documentary films were shown on Israeli TV channels. She instructs and acts in Playback theatre groups and has extensive experience as a facilitator, teacher and director of drama groups over 30 years. In the past year Noa started an Israeli playback ensemble as well as a group of seniors in the Durham seniors center.
